Applying to the Piedmont Project

Applications are now open for the 2026 Piedmont Project Faculty Workshop on May 13 & 14, 2026. The Piedmont Project brings together faculty from all of Emory’s schools and colleges to support new courses or course modules that strengthen curricular engagement with issues of sustainability, environmental justice, and urgent societal challenges. Applications are now open for the Piedmont TATTO Fellowship on Sustainability and Curriculum Development as well(Tuesday, May 12, 2026). This interdisciplinary program is open to graduate students in all disciplines and professional programs who want to expand their teaching repertoire around sustainability, environmental, and social justice issues. Application consists of a 1-2 page description of research and teaching interests and connections to sustainability, environmental, or social justice issues, your past sustainability experience, and the focus of the course syllabus or lab module you would like to develop. Applications should include which particular sustainability issues draw your attention; what past experiences around sustainability or environmental concerns you have had; and the topic of the course syllabus you would like to develop with the help of the fellowship.A stipend of $500 will be provided. Submit statement and CV at: https://forms.gle/TpWr7p7WErZMsXPE7. More details for teaching students can be found here

Both applications will be accepted until February 18, 2026. Workshops are held in the Luce Center (825 Houston Mill Road), 9:00-5:00, May 13 & 14, 2025 for faculty and May 12 for teaching students.
